The Keweenaw Bay Indian Community is soliciting proposals for remodel to a facility that will be utilized by their behavioral health program. The facility is located at 103 W. Eastern Avenue, L’Anse, Michigan. All work will take place on/for properties owned by the Keweenaw Bay Indian Community. One sealed proposal to be submitted for the L’Anse Behavioral Health Remodel. Work includes removal/disposal of existing materials, all new materials, and labor to complete the project in accordance with the Request for Proposals (RFP). The RFP includes more detailed description of work.
The following is a general summary on the extent of work to be completed at the facility. Exterior work includes replacement of an existing concrete slab and roof support columns, replacement of existing entry door, installation of aluminum soffit and fascia, and installation of seamless gutters with downspouts. Interior renovations include installation of new doors, construction of walls to close in several doorways, construction of a reception/workstation counter, replacement of floor coverings, repair to a portion of the existing ceiling, refinishing of walls, removal of basement windows, installation of cabinetry and countertop with sink, and removal of an exhaust/circulation fan. The Contractor shall schedule a site visit prior to submitting the proposal. The Contractor must fully inform itself as to all existing conditions and limitations for the Project. The Contractor shall furnish the necessary personnel, materials, services, and all other appurtenances necessary to perform the work. The proposals will be received by the Tribal CEO, ATTN Brigitte LaPointe-Dunham, CEO, at the address above, until 3:00 p.m. (Eastern Time) Wednesday, December 20, 2023.
