Services:

  • Provides development guidance and assists in the identification, implementation, and maintenance of Tribe’s organization information, policies and procedures in coordination with tribal management, administration, and legal counsel.

  • Serves as information consultant to the Tribe for all departments and appropriate entities.

  • Works with the personnel departments, legal department, and tribal officers in any compliance reviews or investigations.

  • Works with Tribe’s administration, legal counsel, and other related parties to represent the organization’s interests with external parties (federal, state, or local government bodies/agencies, private organizations) who undertake to adopt or amend legislation, regulation, or standards affecting the Tribe, tribal partnerships, and tribal operations. Plans and directs all investigations and negotiations pertaining to mergers, joint ventures, the acquisition of businesses, or the sale of major assets with approval of the Tribal Council. Represents the organization with major customers, shareholders, the financial community, and the public.

  • Establishes current and long-range goals, objectives, plans and policies, subject to approval by the Tribal Council. Implements the strategic goals and objectives of the Tribe.

  • With the President, assists the Tribal Council to fulfill its governance function.

  • Provides direction and leadership toward the achievement of the Tribe’s philosophy, mission, and strategy, and its annual and long-range goals and objectives.

  • Oversees design, marketing, promotion, delivery and quality of programs, products and services, and oversees the adequacy and soundness of the organization’s financial structure.

  • In consultation with the Chief Financial Officer, recommends yearly budget for Tribal Council approval and prudently manages organization’s resources within those budget guidelines according to current laws and regulations.

  • Ensures the human resources/personnel activities of the Tribe are in accordance with authorized personnel policies and procedures that fully conform to current laws and regulations.
