The KBIC Solid Waste Facility provides service to over 400 customers with curbside trash pick up in the L’Anse & Baraga area. We also have a full-service transfer station open to the public, located in Baraga.

Rates:

• $4 per 33-gallon bag
• $115 per ton
• Minimum scale fee: $15.00 (260lbs & under)

Not Being Accepted:

• Tires
• E-Waste
• Hazardous waste 
• Paints
• Waste Oil

E-waste and other items not accepted regularly will only be accepted during designated special events.

Curbside Service

• Seniors, Disabled, Veterans: $25/month
• Baraga Village Limits: $35/month
• Outside Baraga/L’Anse Village Limits: $40/month

Dump Trailer Rentals: All rentals are for 3 days and included in the rental fee is the pickup and drop off of the dumpsters

• Dump trailer: $135 rental fee + $115 per ton + $5 per mile
• 20 Yard Dumpster: $235 + $115 per ton + $5 per mile
• 40 Yard Dumpster: $285 + $115 per ton + $5 per mile
