Niimi Gimiwang Transitional Home is a place where women can seek shelter from a violent relationship, seek counseling services and assistance to help heal while becoming more independent while transitioning to more permanent housing in a safe place.
While at Niimi Gimiwang, support services may include clothing; transportation; case management,; employment counseling; skill building and education including academic tutoring; budgeting and credit-repair classes; homeownership skills; life-skills such as cooking and time management; health literacy; speech and hearing services; HIV/AIDS education, Conflict resolution/Communication skills; Computer literacy services; Sobriety education; Vocational rehabilitation/Job skills training; arts and crafts; Cultural programming and traditional healing
