Patient Centered Medical Home.
The KBIC Medical Clinic features two full-time medical providers and one part-time pediatrician. We have four full-time nursing staff, three fill-in nurses. The nurses are responsible for managing the patient flow within medical. In addition to daily scheduled patients we provide a triage service in which community members can call for same day appointments or specific medical questions. Each provider has an individual nurse which helps provide the community with coordination of care, medication renewals, and referrals to specialists, and test results. Services provided are:
Routine Care: Includes newborn care through adulthood into geriatrics
Acute Care: Flu, earaches, coughs, etc,
Urgent Care: Injuries such as sprains, laceration repair and other acute illness.
Chronic Care: Diabetic Care, heart disease and asthma
Clinic hours are Monday through Friday 8am-4:30pm; Tuesday and Thursday mornings are reserved for lab draws. Medical has a full-time medical receptionist to assist the community with scheduling medical appointments.
